James Hunt's Most Frequently Asked Questions

How much space do you need?

1.5m x 1.5m - but I’m sure I can squeeze in anywhere you think a human can fit.

How is it best to time things?

Afternoon performances often take place anytime between 12-2pm. Evening performances usually start around 7-8pm. but I’m flexible and can work with whatever you want.

Can I pick your playlist?

I normally judge the vibe of the room and pick what I think is best fitted for the atmosphere. but you are welcome to look through my repertoire and pick any songs from that and I will make sure they are played. 

Where will you travel to?

ANYWHERE and everywhere.

Can I see you play live?

You are welcome to message me and I could let you know of a date to come and watch me play - I play many shows. 

Will you learn our special song?

There would be an option for that at a small additional cost.

Is the video on your website a true reflection of you?

Yes, it was recorded live.

How do I book you?

You can book me by checking my availability.

Are you able to DJ in between sets?

Yes, that’s not a problem. I just ask for a small extra fee.

Can we make DJ requests in advance to my event?

Yes.

Can we use your sound system for speeches?

Yes.

What equipment do you use?

I generally just bring my Guitar along with a small compact speaker set up. But I can bring bigger/small systems depending on the needs of the room etc.

Do you have lights?

I do not have my own lights but if you want lights I can definitely hire some out and we can discuss a fee. 

How long do you play for?

However long you request. My general is 2 x 45 minute sets but I can work with whatever you need.

What time do you start and finish?

Whenever requested; I'm flexible.

How long do you take to set up?

5 minutes.

Can I provisionally book you?

I am booked on a first-to-pay-the-deposit, first served basis.

What if I want to cancel before my event?

There is information on the contract regarding cancellations.

Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with you?

If it’s all discussed beforehand, it wouldn’t be a problem.

What will you wear?

Whatever style is required (within reason!).

Do you have PAT and PLI certificates?

Yes.

How much does it cost to book you?

Depends on many things, including location/set length/song requests etc etc. You can get a quote by submitting an enquiry!

Do you have any specific requirements?

No.

What type/size venues are you able to play at?

All kinds! I'm perfect for venues with sound (dB) limiters too!

How loud will you be?

Super flexible with this - so can work with whatever feels appropriate/whatever you need.

What is the your power requirement?

No more then 800 watts and 1 13amp socket.

Do you offer any additional services?

Additional songs/DJ Sets/Background music - Song Learning etc.
