James was on time and was amazing my partner was so impressed she said yes to marrying me :) I would highly recommend James for any occasion and will be booking him for our wedding. -
AMAZING ARTIST
James performed at our recent wedding at Frickley Lake on 6th September 2024. The ceremony was supposed to be outside, but the heavens opened and so we had to move the ceremony in last minute (with all guests having to grab chairs and make a new ceremony space - chaos). James adapted to this with no stress at all, and without us even noticing. We requested he play an acoustic version of my mum an dads wedding song for our 'walking down the aisle song'. He did this so beautifully, it reduced half the room to tears. He played it exactly as I imagined, and it was perfect. So many guests commented on how amazing James's set was, and how his set really made the ceremony and drinks reception. If we were to do it all again, I would re-hire James in a heartbeat. James was amazing!
We used James during the reception when everyone arrived and it didn’t take long for the party to start. James was punctual and overall a really nice guy, he played a selection of songs and by the end of it our guests were up dancing and having a great time. Our guests all commented saying what a great musician he was and I’m so glad we booked him. Thank you James! -
Absolutely fantatsic!
The whole booking process was really easy and the communication beforehand was great. James is a fantastic musician who read the room really well and helped to keep the day moving. I highly recommend him! -

James learnt 3 songs for us - all of which were great! He was a really lovely guy on top of that and his attitude was exactly what we needed in the run up to our wedding (happy & calm!) Thank you! -
Perfect
We had a birthday party with 45 people and wanted music to suit all ages and bring atmosphere to the event. James did a perfect job with the correct balance of volume and song choice. All the guests commented on how good James was and how it made the perfect background music whilst guests mingled and talked. We would recommend James and will no doubt call on his skills again. -
Seamless, James nailed exactly what we'd hoped for.
We booked James for 3 specific tracks during our ceremony (aisle walk, signings, exit song) then into his two sets. With only a few emails back and forth you can be a little apprehensive about what you get on the day if you haven't seen the artists before. But James was quality. With how frantic the day can be in the build up to our ceremony I barely had time to meet James properly beforehand. He turned up, set up swiftly, and the first I heard of him was my now wife walking down the aisle to the song she chose and he nailed it beautifully. Then into his performances that set the tone perfectly for people mingling after and getting drinks. Lots of comments about how good he was. My only regret was missing out on half of one of his sets as we got whisked away for photos! Cheers James! -
